Job summary

Respect Cohuna Village is seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant for a permanent part-time role. You will support nutritious meal delivery, assist with prep, service, and maintain food safety standards under the guidance of the Chef/Cook.

The fortnightly roster includes consistent shifts across weekdays, with potential for additional shifts by mutual agreement. You will contribute to a positive dining experience for residents, work collaboratively with the kitchen team, and uphold high

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handling Certificate or be willing to obtain.
• Previous experience in food services, preferably in residential aged care or healthcare.
• Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, presentation, serving and delivery of meals.
• Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and food service areas under the Food Safety Program (FSP).
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperature checks and receipt of goods.
• Support the Chef/Cook and kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
• Deliver meals and refreshments to residents in a friendly, respectful manner.
