Job summary

RFBI Glen Innes is seeking aged care Carers to join our team and provide personal care services to residents in a welcoming village setting. You will perform a range of daily living tasks and support residents with dignity and respect.

The role requires a Certificate III in Aged Care, strong communication skills, and previous experience in aged care. You will work with a supportive manager and have opportunities for development and career progression.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in an aged care environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds.
• Provide basic clinical care including wound dressings, assist with medication delivery and record observations.
• Care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Enter reports and observations into the iCare system.
• Follow directions of the Care Manager to deliver person-centred care.

We are currently seeking aged care Carers to join our wonderful team and work at our Glen Innes Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Our key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care

What we look for:

• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in an aged care environment
• An enthusiastic and motivated approach
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
