Job summary

Royal Freemasons' Benevolent Institution Ltd (RFBI) invites applications for casual Aged Care Carers to join the Glen Innes Village team. You will provide personal care to residents, supporting daily living and well-being in a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Experience in aged care and effective communication are essential, with mandatory First Aid and police check clearances. RFBI offers competitive hourly rates and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care is required.
• First Aid Certificate is desirable.
• Previous experience in an aged care environment is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds.
• Provide basic clinical care including wound dressing and medication delivery support.
• Record basic clinical observations and enter notes into iCare.
• Assist Care Manager to deliver person-centred care.

Casual Opportunity AvailableWe are currently seeking aged care Carers to join our wonderful team and work at our Glen Innes Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care

What we look for:

• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in an aged care environment
• An enthusiastic and motivated approach
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid police check clearance
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
