Job summary

Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution Ltd (RFBI) is offering a casual aged care carer role at Basin View Village in NSW. You will provide personal care, assist with meals, and support residents with daily activities in a friendly team.

Key tasks include basic clinical care, wound dressing, medication delivery, and recording observations in iCare. Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aged Care, strong communication skills, and current First Aid.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an aged care environment is preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate and police check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shower, dress, groom residents and assist with meals.
• Provide basic clinical care including wound dressings and medication delivery.
• Record observations and enter reports into iCare.
• Support diabetes, arthritis and other chronic condition care.
• Follow Care Manager directions to deliver person-centred care.

We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Position Information:We are currently seeking an experienced aged care carer to join our wonderful team and work at our Basin View Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

We are an award winning, leading aged care provider delivering best quality aged care services that are making a difference in people’s lives.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care

What we look for:

• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in an aged care environment
• An enthusiastic and motivated approach
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid police check clearance
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
