Job summary

Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) in Concord, NSW, is seeking an experienced aged care carer to join the team. The casual position involves providing personal care services to residents, assisting with meals, and contributing to comprehensive care planning.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, have strong communication skills, and possess a current First Aid certificate and a valid police check.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care is required.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in an aged care environment is preferred.
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.
• Valid police check clearance is required.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds.
• Provide basic clinical care including wound dressings and assist with medication delivery.
• Record basic clinical observations and enter reports into iCare.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Assist and follow directions of the Care Manager to achieve person-centred care.

Position Information:

We are currently seeking an experienced aged care carer to join our wonderful team and work at our Concord Masonic Village. You will play a key part in our care team by providing a wide range of personal care services to our residents.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care
