Job summary

Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) is seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to lead our care team at the Coffs Harbour residence. In this key leadership role you will guide staff to deliver compassionate, person-centred care aligned with residents’ needs and preferences, reporting to the Care Manager.

You will supervise care staff, coordinate workflows, administer medications, perform assessments and maintain up-to-date care plans while building strong partnerships with

Qualifications

• DIV 1 RN - AHPRA registered.
• At least 2 years' experience in aged care.
• Proficient computer skills; knowledge of iCare preferred.
• Understanding of WHS responsibilities and manual handling.
• Knowledge of aged care legislation, accreditation and ANACC valued.
• Current First Aid certificate and police check clearance.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Coordinate and oversee care delivery with the team and residents.
• Build partnerships with residents, respecting dignity and wellbeing.
• Provide complex clinical care including wound dressings, medication administration, assessments, and referrals.
• Enter reports and observations into the iCare system.
• Evaluate and update care plans to meet changing resident needs.

We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Position Information:

We are currently seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to join and lead our care team in our aged care residence located in Coffs Harbour.

This is an incredible leadership position, you will advise and assist the care staff to provide the best care, tailored to suit the needs and preferences of our residents. The role reports to the Care Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Being responsible for ensuring high quality care is delivered to residents in a key leadership position
• Supervising and assisting other care employees
• Building and fostering partnerships with each resident, respecting and ensuring their dignity, and focusing on their health and wellbeing.
• Working within a supporting team to coordinate and deliver care.
• Providing complex clinical care including but not limited to: wound dressing; administration of medications;condition assessments and referrals.
• Entering reports and observations on the computer program â iCare.
• Evaluating and maintaining care plans to meet changing needs of residents

What we look for:

• Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered.
• 2+ years previous experience in Aged Care
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare (desirable)
• Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles
• Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation and ANACC will be highly regarded
• Current First Aid CertificateValid police check clearance
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
