Job summary

East Doncaster Secondary College is seeking a VM Coordination/Careers & Pathways Advisor to support student career development and pathways planning. The role covers counselling, course counselling and work experience, with collaboration across sub-schools and external entities.

The position requires experience in career guidance, VET/SWB/SBAT programs and strong stakeholder engagement. It is a fixed-term, part-time role (0.60 FTE) within the College’s Education Support framework.

Qualifications

• SC1 Demonstrated highly developed organisational, communication (verbal, written and IT) and interpersonal skills.
• SC2 Ability to undertake individual careers counselling for students and families.
• SC3 Knowledge and experience of VET/SWL/SBATs and work experience programs.
• SC4 Ability to lead school pathways and transition planning across sub-schools.
• SC5 Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with capacity to build productive relationships with students, families, colleagues, industry and tertiary partners.

Responsibilities

• VM Careers & Pathways Coordination
• Collaborate with HEADSTART program coordinators and families.
• Provide whole-school Careers Education, Course Counselling & Work Experience.
• Assist with Year 11 and Year 12 VM pathway interviews and planning for post-secondary opportunities.
• Complete enrolments of VET students to external RTOs.
• Deliver workplace learning and support transition processes within the college.
