Job summary

Walcom Ngarrwa Secondary College in Victoria seeks an Education and Training professional to coordinate Careers Education, VET, Work Experience and SWL programs. You will partner with universities, TAFEs, employers and community groups to create meaningful pathways for students.

You will deliver individual and group career guidance, oversee Morrisby assessments for Year 9, and support students in identifying pathways to post-school options while ensuring compliance with Department policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to support and enhance school practices in Careers Education, VET, Work Experience and Structured Workplace Learning.
• Communicate effectively in a team environment with high-level oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build productive relationships with universities, employers and community organisations.
• Provide informed advice and support to school management and staff regarding the work area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate careers-related programs (Year 9 Morrisby, Year 10 Work Experience, SWL VCE/VPC).
• Coordinate VET for 2027: student applications, enrolments and withdrawals; monitor attendance and progress; manage SWL placements.
• Organise careers events (Year 9 Careers Day, external expos, university/TAFE visits, trade tasters).
• Ensure programs are planned, communicated and evaluated; drive continuous improvement of career education initiatives.
