Job summary

Penola Catholic College in Melbourne is seeking a Careers Practitioner to engage students in explorations and dialogue about their pathways beyond school.

Working closely with the Head of Careers, you will provide guidance, education and support to students, families and staff, helping students identify strengths, interests and aspirations and connect with employers, training providers and educational institutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant careers practitioner training or certification.
• Ability to engage students, families and staff effectively.
• Knowledge of VET and SBATs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage students in explorations and dialogues about pathways beyond school.
• Work with the Head of Careers to provide guidance and support to students, families and staff.
• Collaborate with employers, training providers and educational institutions to explore opportunities.
• Support Year 12 students after VCE results and advise on tertiary pathway placements.
