Job summary

Nambour Christian College in Twin Waters, QLD, is seeking a Careers and Pathways Coordinator who is a registered Queensland teacher to lead our careers education and pathway planning program from 2027. You will guide subject selection, further studies, vocational training and employment pathways for students.

Nambour Christian College (NCC) is an outstanding co-educational, inter-denominational Prep to Year 12 Christian School located in the heartland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. NCC partners in the education of over 1,300 students through our dedicated sub-schools: Junior (P–6), Middle (7–9) and Senior (10–12).

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, relational and highly organised Careers and Pathways Coordinator, who is a registered teacher in Queensland, to commence in 2027 and lead the College's careers education and pathway planning program.

This role provides students with practical guidance, resources and opportunities to make informed decisions about subject selection, further education, vocational training, apprenticeships, traineeships and employment pathways.

Reporting to the Head of Senior School, the Careers and Pathways Coordinator works collaboratively with College leaders, teaching staff, students, parents, tertiary institutions, employers, industry representatives and external providers. As classroom teaching forms part of the role, the position will also be accountable to the relevant Head of Department and Heads of School.

This role will suit someone who is energised by walking alongside young people, helping them make sense of complex pathway options, and guiding them to recognise their God-given gifts, purpose and potential as they take confident steps towards a meaningful future.
