Job summary

Uniting Berrigan NSW is seeking an experienced Care Worker for permanent part-time night shifts. You will support the Registered Nurse by delivering direct resident care, personal care, and help with medications, enhancing residents' independence and quality of life.

You will provide daily living assistance, including showering, dressing, meals, and mobility support, and help residents participate in social activities.

Qualifications

• IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent including medication assist
• Experience in aged or community care
• Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, aligned with Uniting values
• Willingness to work night shifts in a similar capacity

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, supporting the Registered Nurse

What you’ll be doing in this role

We are looking for an experience, qualified Care Worker to join Uniting Berrigan. Working night shifts, you’ll support the Registered Nurse with providing direct support to our Residents. Providing personal care, assisting with medications and companionship when required.

You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

You must have a IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification including a medication assist qualification.
You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you've recently become qualified.
You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
You’ll have experience working night shifts in a similar capacity/ the willingness to work nights.
