Job summary

Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking a Care Worker for night shifts in Berrigan. This permanent part-time role supports residents alongside a Registered Nurse, providing personal care, medication assistance and companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Eligible applicants should have an IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification with medication assist, and prior experience in aged or community care, or a willingness to begin in this field. Night shifts required.

What you’ll be doing in this role

We are looking for an experience, qualified Care Worker to join Uniting Berrigan. Working night shifts, you’ll support the Registered Nurse with providing direct support to our Residents. Providing personal care, assisting with medications and companionship when required.

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

• You must have a IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification including a medication assist qualification.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you've recently become qualified.
• You’ll have experience working night shifts in a similar capacity/ the willingness to work nights.
