Job summary

Warrigal Care is seeking a Care Worker - Medications to support older people to stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. You will deliver person-centred care, administer and monitor medications, assist with daily tasks and support mobility, meal prep and domestic duties in line with individual care plans.

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Medication Module HLTHPS007 - Administer and Monitor Medications.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance.

• Provide person-centred care across personal care, mobility, medication administration and monitoring, meal preparation and domestic tasks.
• Promote customers' physical, emotional and social wellbeing while supporting independence.

As a Care Worker - Medications, you will support older people toremain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes bydelivering high-quality personal care, medication assistance anddomestic support services.

Working across our Home Services team, you will provideperson-centred care in accordance with individual care plans,supporting customers with personal care, mobility, medicationadministration and monitoring, meal preparation, household tasksand community participation. You will play an important role inpromoting our customers’ physical, emotional and social wellbeingwhile helping them maintain their independence at home.

You will work independently while also being part of asupportive and collaborative team, building positive relationshipswith customers, families and colleagues. Through your compassion,professionalism and commitment to quality care, you will make ameaningful difference in the lives of older people throughout thecommunity.

The requirements | What it takes to do thiswork

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Careor equivalent
• Medication Module HLTHPS007 - Administer and MonitorMedications
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Driver Licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Previous aged care, disability care or community careexperience
• Experience providing personal care and medicationsupport
• Empathy and commitment to supporting older people
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage timeeffectively

• Permanent Part Time position, 20 hours per week
• Required availability: Saturday (6 hours) and Sunday (4hours), with remaining hours worked during the week
• Hourly Rate $36.23
