Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a casual Caregiver to provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents in our aged care home, helping maintain independence and quality of life.

You will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, hygiene, meals, and support participation in activities; the role offers opportunities for growth within a leading human services organisation and access to rewards and well-being programs. Employment may require National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or caregiving is preferred.
• Ability to provide daily living assistance with hygiene and mobility.
• Ability to provide care with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with showering, personal hygiene, dressing and mealtimes.
• Assist with medications and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based activities.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
