Job summary

Uniting Griffith is seeking casual carers for our aged care home in Griffith, NSW, offering up to $34.59 per hour plus casual loading and super. You will provide care, companionship and support to residents, helping them maintain independence and quality of life in a compassionate, respectful environment.

Applicants should have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, with prior experience in aged or community care, or a willingness to begin a career in this field.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care or studying/qualifying.
• Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful; aligned with Uniting values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Provide daily living assistance (showering, hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility).
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

• You’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
