Job summary

Uniting Northaven in Turramurra, NSW, seeks casual aged care workers to provide compassionate care and daily living support for residents. You will help with personal care, mobility and social activities to enhance independence and quality of life.

Shifts include AM, PM and ND; experience in aged or community care is valued. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent is required, with the opportunity to join a supportive, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care.
• Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, living Uniting's values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents in aged care home.
• Deliver daily living assistance: showering, personal hygiene, dressing, mealtimes and mobility.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve the quality of life
• Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
• Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
• Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

• You’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
