Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care is seeking a Care Worker to support older Australians in the Mullumbimby and surrounding areas. The role involves in-home care tasks such as cleaning, personal care, meal prep, mobility support and transportation, fostering connections and helping clients live independently at home.

The position is 40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday 8am–4pm, with no weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
• Own a reliable vehicle to transport clients
• Strong communication, resilience and patience
• Local to Tweed Heads/Murwillumbah area and available Mon/Wed/Fri 8am–4pm

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks including cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation and continence support
• Provide medication assistance and transport to appointments or client activities
• Develop genuine connections with clients to support independent living at home
• Work as part of BaptistCare At Home team to deliver quality complex care

About the role

As an experienced Care Worker supporting clients in the Mullumbimbyand surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

This position is offering 40hrs/fortnight working Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (days negotiable). No weekends required.

To support you in your role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email. You will be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4.00pm and be local to the Tweed Heads/Murwillumbah area.
