Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a permanent part-time Care Worker to join our At Home team serving Tweed Heads and surrounding areas. You will assist clients with daily tasks, provide quality home-based care and support clients to stay independent in their own homes.

You will receive orientation, supervision, and development opportunities, with a shift pattern of Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks in clients' homes (cleaning, meal prep, mobility support).
• Provide practical care such as showering, dressing, continence support, medication assistance and transport.
• Build genuine connections with clients and support independent living.

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in the Tweed Heads and surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

To support you in your role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $34.42/hr (unqualified) - $36.23/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email. You will be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4.00pm and be local to the Tweed Heads/Murwillumbah area.
