Job summary

BaptistCare At Home is seeking a Care Worker to support clients in their own homes across the Blayney area and surrounding communities. You will assist with daily activities, accompany clients on outings and help maintain independence, with an emphasis on compassionate, person-centered care.

The role offers flexibility in hours and ongoing orientation, with support from a dedicated supervisor and access to technology to manage emails, rosters and care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication with resilience and patience.
• Proficient with smartphone technology, apps and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, showering, dressing and food preparation.
• Provide continence support and medication assistance as required.
• Transport clients between locations and accompany them on activities to support independent living.

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in the Blayneyand surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

Preference for an 8am start time for services, with a potential of upto 30 hour/fortnight based on availability.

To support you in your role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $32.86/hr (unqualified) - $34.59/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What do we need from you?

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
