Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking Care Assistants to join our team at Mirrabooka Place - Gloucester NSW. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.

This role offers opportunities to gain experience in a supportive team, with an emphasis on respect, compassion, integrity and residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Cert III in Health Service Assistance, or BA Nursing student in years 2 or 3.
• Current First Aid certificate (ongoing) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Promote Anglican Care's positive culture with residents, staff and families.
• Provide person-centred care to residents in the facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality in documentation and communications.
• Adhere to Aged Care Standards and work as a supportive team member.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.

Currently There Are a Range Of Permanent Shifts Available

• Weekend morning (0630-1500) + afternoon shifts (1445-2045)
• Weekday short shifts (1600-2000)
• Weekday + weekend night shifts (2045-0645)

About you?

• Certificate III Individual Support / Cert III Heath Service Assistance or BA Nursing Students 2nd + 3rd Yr
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
• An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to accurately document residents care/progress

• Consistent delivery of person centered care to residents in our facilities
• Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications
• Abide by Aged Care Standards
