Job summary

Concord Cardiology in Sydney is seeking a friendly, organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist practice on a casual or part-time basis. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-ins, calls, emails and basic admin to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Applicants should have medical reception experience, be proficient with Genie (and Best Practice), and enjoy delivering high-quality patient service in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical reception is essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with medical software (Genie)

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and managing check-ins and check-outs
• Answering calls and responding to patient enquiries via phone and email
• Scheduling appointments and managing diaries
• Preparing patient files and maintaining medical records
• Processing payments and Medicare claims
• Sending correspondence and test results to referring practitioners
• Liaising with cardiologists, nurses and allied health staff
• Providing general administrative support to the practice
• Assisting clinical staff with admin tasks including typing
• Scanning, filing and processing referrals
