Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Services team on a temporary part-time basis. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients, perform pre- and post-procedure care, monitor ECGs, and educate patients and families on heart health.

The role requires acute care experience and a willingness to rotate rosters. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary unit and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care across

Qualifications

• Proven experience within an acute care setting essential.
• Experience within cardiac services and/or a Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care desirable.
• Flexibility to adapt to rotating rosters to meet unit demands.
• Exceptional communication skills and evidence-based holistic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, including pre and post procedure care.
• Monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Interpret ECGs and monitor vital signs, responding promptly to changes.
• Educate patients and families on heart health, treatment plans and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff and allied health professionals.
