Job summary

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Cath Lab and Day Stay Unit. You will handle pre/post procedural care and rotate to scrub/scout for interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.

The unit runs 0700–1930 hours, Monday to Friday, with on-call support after hours. Applicants should have AHPRA registration and at least 2 years in acute care; cath lab experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) is required.
• More than 2 years clinical nursing experience in acute settings (ICU/ED/CCU).
• Current Cath Lab experience will be beneficial for the role.
• Ability to participate in on‑call roster and attend after-hours call backs within 30 mins.
• Capacity to wear lead‑equivalent gowns for radiation protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post procedural care in the Cardiac Day Stay Unit and scrub/scout for interventional procedures.
• Rotate to Cath Lab to assist in interventional cardiac, vascular, electrophysiology or implantable device procedures.
• Contribute to 24/7 on-call coverage and ensure prompt response to emergencies.
