Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheter Lab team at Royal North Shore Hospital on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

You will contribute to interventional procedures in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology, including valve procedures and device implantations, working within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with AHPRA.
• Experience in Cardiac Catheterisation Lab or Radiology.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Current clinical knowledge and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Cardiology department with Cath Lab and EP Lab.
• Assist and support complex interventional cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient care quality and safety across high-acuity cases.

Come join our fantastic team of Registered Nurses in the Cardiac CATH LAB! Located on Sydney's Lower North Shore, Royal North Shore Hospital is a state-of-the-art Level 1 Trauma and major tertiary referral center that has been a center of clinical excellence for many years.
A great opportunity exists in the Interventional Cardiology Service department for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our team. RNSH features advanced Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories equipped for complex interventional cardiac procedures, including stent insertion, cardiac device implantation, and structural heart interventions. Our dynamic, innovative team offers development opportunities for all staff and a caring environment for high-quality, patient-centered care.
To be successful, you will be expected to work within our comprehensive Interventional Cardiology department comprising Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories. Our team delivers cutting-edge interventional procedures, including percutaneous valve replacements (TAVI, Mitral, and Tricuspid), left atrial appendage closure, paravalvular leak closure, PFO/ASD closures, AF ablation, and complex cardiac resynchronization therapy.
As a major tertiary centre, we also provide specialized acute care and advanced cardiac interventions for complex, high-acuity patients across Northern Sydney.
The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work a Monday to Friday rotating roster, with on-call coverage for overnights and weekends.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Previous experience working in a Cardiac Catheterisation (Cath) Lab or Radiology environment. If no previous experience, please outline any relevant experience you have in other settings.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
