Job summary

Western Health is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for Ward 7B in the Footscray Hospital CCU. You will lead a dedicated nursing team, using clinical expertise and strong communication to coordinate patient care in a fast-paced cardiac environment.

The role requires postgraduate cardiac/critical care qualifications, current Australian RN registration, ALS, and a track record in leadership. The position emphasizes ongoing learning and quality improvement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac/Critical Care Nursing.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Leadership/management experience is desirable.
• Experience in cardiac care or critical care area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Shift management and daily operations coordination within the CCU.
• Coordinate patient flow and advocate for best care in the inpatient journey.
• Collaborate with the NUM to manage the unit and staff.
• Promote ongoing learning and education for all staff in the unit.
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care in line with Western Health values.
• Provide care to patients in the acute cardiac setting.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and NSQHS portfolio.
• Support and lead organisational change.
