Job summary

City of Sydney is seeking a motivated Program Officer to join the Capital Programs Team. You will support delivery of capital works and infrastructure maintenance across roads, footpaths, stormwater assets and civil structures.

The role spans office and site environments, coordinating works and ensuring safety, quality and environmental compliance. You will engage in procurement, tender documentation and evaluation while managing relationships with contractors, authorities and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in civil engineering, project management or contract management or related discipline.
• Trade qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in design, construction or maintenance of civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil construction and infrastructure maintenance works.
• Monitor contractor performance for safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Undertake site inspections and audits.
• Support financial management, reporting, document control and data management.
• Assist with procurement, tender documentation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility authorities, internal teams and the community.
