Job summary

Holmesglen Institute is seeking a Maintenance Officer - Painter to perform painting, maintenance, and surface repair across Institute buildings and furniture at Holmesglen metro campuses. You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and ensure high-quality finishes while following safety and PD procedures.

The role requires trade qualifications, Level 2 First Aid, a valid driver’s licence, and Working with Children and Police checks.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent relevant work experience in a large corporate environment.
• Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Victorian driver’s licence.
• WWCC and Police Check required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the property maintenance plan within the Property Services Department.
• Prepare and treat surfaces for painting, cleaning, sanding, patching and removing old coatings.
• Apply finishes including paints, stains, sealers, varnishes, primers and protective coatings.
• Conduct graffiti removal on Council buildings and facilities.
• Plan and complete painting and maintenance tasks in line with PD procedures.
