Job summary

North Lakes State College is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day grounds and building upkeep across its North Lakes campus. The role involves grounds maintenance, equipment servicing, and minor repairs to ensure safe, clean, and well-presented facilities for students and staff.

Key duties include mowing, garden care, equipment servicing, basic painting, and coordinating with management and tradespeople.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance within educational or similar facilities.
• Ability to operate and maintain basic grounds equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance: mow lawns, maintain ovals, gardens, trees and sporting facilities.
• Equipment maintenance: service and repair tools, machinery and groundskeeping equipment.
• School maintenance: carry out minor building repairs, painting and general upkeep.
