Job summary

Lourdes Hill College is seeking a practical Groundsperson / Maintenance Officer to maintain College grounds, buildings and assets in a safe, clean and secure condition. The role includes routine maintenance, gardening, waste management and basic repairs, with a hands-on approach and commitment to WHS standards.

Ideal candidates will have experience in grounds or property services, practical tool skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team; a current Driver Licence is

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or property services in a commercial or educational setting.
• Practical skills with groundskeeping equipment and hand/power tools.
• Solid understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform manual tasks safely and efficiently.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Current Driver Licence; Medium Rigid licence desirable for bus driving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain College buildings, grounds and assets in a safe, clean and secure condition.
• Undertake routine and reactive maintenance including minor carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing and waste management.
• Assist with repairs, improvements and minor works across the College property.
• Operate manual and power tools and equipment safely and competently.
• Support gardening and outdoor facilities presentation to a high standard.
• Assist with traffic management during drop-off and pick-up periods if required.
