Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast is seeking an organized events professional to design and deliver student events across UniSC locations. You will coordinate activities from planning to delivery, focusing on Moreton Bay and Caboolture campuses and visiting Sunshine Coast sites as needed.

The role requires strong planning, stakeholder engagement and budgeting skills, with a passion for inclusive, engaging student experiences and a collaborative, fast-paced work style.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and experience in event coordination, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
• Exceptional planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and student communities.
• Well-developed written, verbal and digital communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and supervise staff, volunteers and student ambassadors.
• Excellent budgeting, problem-solving and digital literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a diverse range of student events, including orientation activities across the Caboolture and Moreton Bay campuses.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful planning and delivery of events.
• Manage event logistics, budgets, resources, risk assessments and post-event evaluations to ensure events are delivered effectively and within scope.
