Job summary

Maddington Centurion Group is seeking a reliable Camp Chef (Utility) to join a small team servicing regional campsites. The role involves hands-on meal preparation, cleaning, and providing day-to-day guidance to other general hands.

Suitable for a CDP or Commis Chef, with FIFO/DIDO experience. Responsibilities include cooking to approved menus, maintaining high hygiene standards, and supporting camp operations, staff housing, and transport between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Cert III in commercial cookery is desirable or equivalent.
• FIFO or DIDO experience is required.
• Up to 5 years’ experience in camp, bulk‑catering, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with cleaning, food service, and general camp duties as required.
• Provide leadership and support to general hands.
• Relieve duties and assist across camp services.
• Drive staff and transport products between sites as required.
• Oversee staff and guest accommodation standards.
• Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
