Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a hands-on plant operator to join the Regional Maintenance team in Holbrook. You will operate rollers, loader, mixer and other plant equipment to support road construction and maintenance projects, while ensuring safety, environmental and quality standards.

The role involves pre-start inspections, basic plant maintenance, traffic management, manual handling and a range of operational tasks.

Qualifications

• Current Australian motor vehicle driver's licence (Class C), with Provisional P1 minimum.
• Construction Industry White Card held.
• Traffic Controller Card or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Heavy Rigid MR/HR licence desirable or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Work Zone Traffic Management qualification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills for completing work records.
• Willingness to obtain any legislated or internal licensing as directed.

Responsibilities

• Operate rollers, loader, mixer and other plant equipment for road projects.
• Support road construction and maintenance to meet safety and quality standards.
• Undertake pre-start inspections and basic plant maintenance.
• Manage traffic and perform site duties as required.
• Maintain accurate work records and collaborate with team.
