Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre on the Sunshine Coast invites skilled chefs to join our vibrant culinary team across casual, part-time and full-time roles. You’ll work in a dynamic resort kitchen supporting restaurant service, banquets and large-scale events.

You’ll gain diverse experience across menus, maintain high food quality and safety standards, and collaborate with the wider F&B teams in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment within the Accor

Qualifications

• Culinary qualifications or significant commercial kitchen experience.
• Strong passion for food and hospitality.

Set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Twin Waters, our resort features over 370 guest rooms, extensive leisure facilities and a diverse Food & Beverage operation. Our Sunshine Coast Convention Centre hosts conferences, weddings, celebrations and events for up to 1,400 guests, creating an exciting environment for chefs who enjoy variety, pace and working on a larger scale.

Job Description

We’re looking for passionate Chefs to join our culinary team across casual, part-time and full-time opportunities.

Whether you’re looking to build your experience, take the next step in your culinary career or find a role that offers flexibility, you’ll be part of a dynamic kitchen operation with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.

You’ll work alongside an experienced culinary team across our main kitchen, Sola Restaurant & Bar and our busy banqueting and events operation. With everything from à la carte dining to large-scale conferences, weddings and functions, you’ll gain valuable experience across a diverse resort environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prepare and deliver high-quality food across restaurant, banqueting and event services
• Work across a variety of menus and styles of service
• Support the delivery of conferences, weddings and large-scale events
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams
• Follow food safety, HACCP and WHS standards
• Assist with preparation, stock rotation and maintaining an organised kitchen
• Contribute to a positive and supportive kitchen culture

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Relevant culinary qualifications or previous commercial kitchen experience
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
