Job summary

Jet Aviation in Cairns is seeking an aviation-minded Operations Coordinator to support VIP, corporate and government aircraft in a fast-paced FBO environment. You’ll marshal aircraft, coordinate fuel and catering, operate ground support equipment and handle operational records with precision.

The role is full-time with a 24/7 roster; annual salary AUD 70,000–80,000 plus superannuation. You will join a hands-on team focused on safe, efficient aircraft handling in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Have a genuine interest in aviation, aircraft and FBO operations.
• Able to remain calm, organised and effective when priorities change quickly.
• Take initiative and act without always waiting for direction.
• Strong teamwork, communication, time-management and prioritisation skills.
• Able to work across a 24/7 operation including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support safe arrival, turnaround and departure of aircraft across movements.
• Marshal aircraft and operate ground support equipment where trained.
• Coordinate fuel, catering, ground transport and third‑party services.
• Record aircraft movements accurately in systems in real time.
• Assist with baggage, aircraft towing, water/toilet servicing and ramp tasks.
• Maintain high professional standards for aircraft and passenger areas.
