Job summary

North West Disability Services in Richmond, NSW, is seeking a hands-on café supervisor for Secret Garden. This is a standalone, part‑time role (Wednesday to Saturday) focused on delivering warm front‑of‑house service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and participants.

You will lead daily operations, manage stock and safety standards, and work closely with support workers and NDIS participants to support learning activities while keeping the café running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Experience in café or hospitality operations.
  • Confident working independently and managing a café environment.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service and front‑of‑house operations.
  • Experience managing stock ordering and inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily front‑of‑house café operations across Wednesday to Saturday.

  • Support Support Workers who are guiding participants through café‑based learning activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Assist with basic administration and record keeping associated with café operations.

Alongside serving great coffee and fresh food, we provide meaningful opportunities for NDIS participants to build skills, confidence, and connection through supported work in our café.

We're looking for a hands‑on hospitality professional who can lead our café operations while helping create an environment where participants can learn, contribute, and succeed.

The Role – What You'll Be Doing

This is a hands‑on, standalone café role with a strong people focus.

You will:

  • Run daily front‑of‑house café operations across Wednesday to Saturday
  • Lead service and create a welcoming experience for customers
  • Manage café opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor, order and maintain stock, supplies and café inventory
