Job summary

OnePlace Trading Card Store in Port Macquarie is expanding to launch a café. You’ll design and launch the cafe from the ground up, including menu, suppliers, layout and day-to-day procedures, then run it your way.

When busy, you'll also serve on the shop floor, engaging customers who share your card hobby. You'll bring cafe startup experience, strong rostering and margin skills, and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and running a café.
• Knowledge of ordering, rostering and margins.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Warm, confident customer service.
• Able to work weekends, school holidays, and events.

OnePlace Trading Card Store is Port Macquarie's home for collectors and players. We stock Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, sports cards and more, and we run tournaments, launches and play nights. Now we're adding a café, and we need the right person to build it.

This isn't a standard café job. You'll set up the café from the ground up, from the menu and suppliers to how it runs day to day. Then you'll run it your way. When the café is quiet, you'll be on the shop floor selling cards and chatting with customers who share your interests.

If you collect, trade or play cards yourself, you'll fit right in. Your knowledge and enthusiasm will be a real asset with our customers. If you're a card-curious hospitality pro, we'd love to hear from you too.
