Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a casual Cafe Chef at Castle Hill Village to oversee daily café operations, prepare high-quality meals and support functions. You will work with the Food and Beverage Manager to create menus, ensure food quality and deliver a positive dining experience for residents and visitors.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in hospitality/food service, a Commercial Cookery Certificate, FSS certification and strong HACCP knowledge, plus excellent English literacy.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, catering or food service environments.
• 2–3 years’ experience in food preparation, kitchen operations and menu planning.
• Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certification and HACCP knowledge.
• Strong English literacy (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals and café items.
• Support menu planning and seasonal updates.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and guests.
• Lead by example and collaborate with kitchen and village teams.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance.
