Job summary

The Green Cafe in Toongabbie seeks an experienced cafe chef to join our kitchen team part-time, three days a week, with potential to grow to full-time as we expand.

Responsibilities include breakfast and lunch service, sandwich prep, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and teamwork, and delivering great customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Handle daily kitchen operations including breakfast and lunch service.
• Preparation of sandwiches, wraps
• Have a positive and can do attitude and keep the highest quality customer service
• Attention to detail and great communication skills, in both giving and receiving instruction, during service and in handover.
• Excellent ability to follow prep lists and ordering sheets from the head chef
• Culinary training 3 years experience in a similar cafe venue will be highly considered
• A true passion for food, a good understanding of a cuisine that serves wholesome, flavoursome meals.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and follow correct procedures for the opening and closing of the kitchen
• The ability to work in a team but also autonomously with great attention to detail
• A very supportive and friendly working environment.
• Flexible shifts for the right candidate.

Join our dynamic team at The Green Cafe where you'll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our kitchen team.

This role is starting as a part time position ideally 3 days per week and has the potential to grow into a full time role as our operations grow in the next 3-4 months.

About us:

A modern and vibrant cafe, that has opened in a brand new building at Toongabbie point, in the heart of Toongabbie We are offering top quality specialty coffee, freshly made breakfast lunch and brunch menu, house-made cakes and meals aiming for clean, fresh and flavoursome meals.

The cafe has created an amazing following the last year and is now open Friday nights with a Greek inspired menu and a great response from the community.
