Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a Café Attendant to join our warm, social environment where residents can socialise, relax, and enjoy refreshments. You will help create a welcoming café atmosphere and play a vital role in promoting resident wellbeing and engagement.

Based in Victoria, you will deliver friendly service, prepare beverages and light meals, manage menu updates, and ensure clean, safe café operations consistent with our high standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certificate or willing to get one.
• Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
• Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
• Friendly and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive customer service to residents, staff, and visitors who visit the café.
• Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, as well as simple snacks or light meals available in the café.
• Menu Management: Assist in creating and updating the café menu, considering residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and popular choices.
• Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
• Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and other café supplies, and reorder items as necessary.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Ensure that the café meets health and safety standards.
