Job summary

Virgin Active Australia is seeking a cafe all-rounder for our Bondi Junction and other Sydney locations. You will prepare recipes and drinks, deliver heartfelt service, and ensure the cafe remains clean and well-stocked in a fast-paced environment.

The role accepts part-time or casual arrangements, with a 7-day rotating roster and non-traditional hours. You will be friendly, reliable, and able to communicate across levels while promoting a positive wellness culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cafe all-rounder (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster and non-traditional schedules.
• Goal to create refreshing experiences and maintain a safe, presentable environment.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cafe area, equipment, utensils and dishes.
• Prepare orders (drinks, smoothies, coffees, and healthy wraps/salads).
• Take orders and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced cafe; work with the team.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and cleanliness at all times.
• Monitor promotions, standards, and stock levels to ensure smooth service.

The Gig:

Reporting to the Store Manager, you'll be a cafe all-rounder by preparing recipes, drinks, providing heartfelt service and ensuring cleanliness in the cafe. We're open to both part-time and casual working arrangements.

In a nutshell:

• You’ll prepare the cafe working area by cleaning equipment, utensils and dishes
• You’ll prepare orders as per order slips (drinks, smoothies, coffees and healthy wraps and salads are on the menu!)
• You’ll take orders from customers and provide them with exceptional customer service in a fast-paced cafe environment
• You’ll work collaboratively in a team with other crew members
• You’ll practice “clean as you go” at all times and ensure consistently high hygiene standards in the store
• You’ll be on top of all cafe promotions, standards and specifications
• You’ll monitor and replenish stock levels to ensure smooth service

• You have aligned experience working as a cafe-all rounder for at least 1 year. A+ for you.
• You’re comfortable working with a 7-day rotating roster and can work a non-traditional schedule
• You love to create refreshing experiences for people as much as you love to guarantee a super safe and presentable environment for all.
• You are people focused. You’re warm, honest and genuine and work well under pressure.
