Job summary

Veolia Cadet Engineer role at the Recycle Water Plant in Fairfield 2165. This is a two year, part-time opportunity working three days per week onsite to gain practical experience while building your engineering career.

Working with experienced engineers and operations teams, you will gain hands-on experience across recycle water treatment plants, contribute to a range of projects, and develop essential industry skills. Veolia provides mentoring, development opportunities and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Interest in building a career in the water industry.
• Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn.
• Be organized, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
• Good attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site operations through regular site inspections and routine water sampling and laboratory analysis.
• Assist in preparing regulatory and contractual reports.
• Prepare and maintain management of change (MOC) documentation, reports and other project records.
• Track compliance and sustainability performance.
• Support process investigations, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Assist with improvement projects.
• Review and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to reflect current operational conditions.

What you'll Do
