Job summary

Veolia, based in Ballarat, is seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our Victorian Water Operations team. The role involves operating and maintaining treatment plants, monitoring processes with SCADA, and performing routine maintenance.

Will travel across Victoria with some overnight stays and participate in an on-call roster every six weeks. We offer varied work across facilities, training and career development, plus benefits such as paid parental leave, Fitness Passport

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment operations.
• An understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and participate in rostered evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Monitor treatment processes using SCADA and other systems.
• Complete routine maintenance, fault finding and minor repairs.
• Collect water samples and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect equipment and identify maintenance requirements.
• Respond to plant issues and participate in the on call roster.
• Support continuous improvement across safety, quality and plant performance.

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Technician to join our Victorian Water Operations team, based in Ballarat.

This is a varied role combining plant operations, maintenance, water quality monitoring and practical problem solving. You will work with modern treatment systems, including SCADA, and help improve plant safety, reliability and performance.

The role involves regular travel across Victoria, including some overnight stays, and participation in an on call roster once every 6 weeks.
