Quarry Hill Group in Murarrie, Brisbane is seeking a CAD Designer focused on Defence and industrial product lines. You will develop robust parametric Autodesk Inventor models and assist the 3D web configurator for global customer ordering.

Lead in-house additive manufacturing for precision enclosures, produce client submittal drawings, coordinate with external manufacturers, and maintain CAD standards with AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Autodesk Inventor; willingness to transition from SolidWorks.
• Ability to model complex shapes and recreate parts from samples, drawings, or models.
• Experience producing client submittal drawings using internal templates.
• Interest in 3D printing, AI technology, and continuous product enhancement.
• Proactive, curious mindset with strong communication skills and comfort with senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Identify product additions, category expansions, and gaps; benchmark competitors and draft design briefs.
• Develop robust parametric 3D models for complete product families; support 3D web configurator.
• Lead design and small-run production of composite enclosures via 3D printing and finishing processes.
• Produce clear client submittal drawings for international orders using templates.
• Prepare STEP files and drawings for machining partners; review manufacturability feedback.
• Create photorealistic renders and collaborate with Marketing to populate datasheets and pages.
• Maintain CAD library, parametric models, and drawing standards; use AI tools to speed workflows.
