Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our motivated team in Queensland. You will support construction, landscaping and warehouse projects, performing general labouring tasks across multiple sites and assisting tradespeople as needed.

Expect consistent casual work with potential for permanent roles, weekly pay, and required PPE. A physical role with reliable transport and a construction White Card is essential.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card and a current Driver Licence
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Work across a variety of site types including landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs and carpentry projects
• Site preparation, wheelbarrow duties, digging and trenching, lifting and carrying materials
• Assist qualified tradespeople and perform general labouring as required
• Maintain site cleanliness and assist with packaging and stacking

What You'll Be Doing

• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations

• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
