Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support a variety of construction and industrial sites. You will earn $35.11 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and a $22 daily travel allowance, with typical weekly earnings around $1,400+ and weekly pay every Thursday.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist on site across residential/commercial projects.
• Perform site prep, wheelbarrowing, digging and trenching.
• Lift and transport materials, pack and stack goods.
• Assist qualified tradespeople and support general labour tasks.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safe working conditions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations

• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
