Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking a skilled Cable Jointer to deliver safe, reliable underground network work across Sydney and regional NSW. You will inspect, install and maintain electrical assets, plan work sites, and liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues while upholding high standards of safety and quality.

You will hold a Cert III in ESI Power Systems or equivalent, with HRWL and relevant training, and possess an MR class licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified Line Worker – Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent).
• Experience in an electrical trade role within electricity distribution including line work.
• Class MR drivers licence.
• Electrical Safety Rules accreditation and relevant statutory training.
• Knowledge of statutes, regulations and safe working practices.
• High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – EWP and Dogging.
• WH&S WorkCover – General Induction.
• Asbestos awareness and safe handling with asbestos materials.
• Manual handling techniques.
• Basic computer and mobile device skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, reliable underground network work.
• Inspect, install and maintain underground electrical assets.
• Prepare worksites and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve customer issues and interpret technical documentation.
• Play a key role in emergency restoration work, ensuring planning and execution are sound.
