Stralis Energy Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cable Joiner to work on Essential Energy LV & 11kV distribution projects and 33kV solar farm builds. The role is based at the West Ballina depot, NSW North Coast, with duties including LV/11kV/33kV jointing, testing, and cable hauling.

You will operate outdoors in all weather and engage with clients and networks on-site. Ideal candidates hold a cable jointing qualification with HV experience, relevant electrical licences, a current White Card, and

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cable Joiner to work on Essential Energy LV & 11kV distribution projects and 33kV solar farm builds.

What you'll be doing

• Jointing and terminating LV, 11kV and 33kV XLPE cables, including pits, pillars, street lights, transformers, ring main units and switchgear
• Cable testing and commissioning support (VLF, sheath and phasing)
• Cable hauling

The position is to work locally on the NSW North Coast - depot based in West Ballina.

About you

• Cable jointing qualification and HV jointing experience (11kV and/or 33kV)
• Essential Energy authorisation, or willingness to obtain it, is highly regarded
• Safety-focused, reliable, with strong attention to detail
• Punctual, reliable and respectful with clients and the public
• Represents the company professionally on client and network sites
• Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work around heavy machinery
• Able to perform physical work, including lifting, bending and working at heights
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to follow procedures
• Civil/construction background preferable but not essential

Essential certifications / licences

• Valid Australian Drivers licence
• White card
• Relevant Electrical licences

Desirable

• Forklift licence
• HR Licence - or willingness to obtain
• Machinery licences

• $90,000 - $130,000 + super, depending on experience (indicative - to be confirmed)
