Job summary

Qualifications

• Four to six years in a technical role with ownership of systems or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in SQL and translating business questions into reporting outputs.
• Experience building workflow automations with platforms like n8n, Make, Zapier or Zoho Flow.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks and JSON to connect systems.
• Experience collaborating with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Administration experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
• Experience with identity or device management (JumpCloud, Okta, Intune or Jamf).
• Experience configuring CRM platforms (Zoho, Salesforce or HubSpot).
• Experience supporting end users in a helpdesk/service desk environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the helpdesk queue and resolve issues for about 100 staff.
• Provide first and second level support for hardware, software, connectivity and access.
• Escalate and track issues through to closure.
• Onboard/offboard staff including device provisioning and access control.
• Maintain device fleet and asset register; procurement and disposal.
• Support telephony and communications platforms used across the business.
• Administer user accounts and access across Google Workspace and SaaS.
• Configure and maintain CRM with fields, layouts and workflows.
• Build and maintain CRM reports and dashboards in Analytics.
• Write SQL queries to support reporting requests.

Job description

The Business Systems & IT Specialist supports and maintains the technology that our company runs on. The role covers end user IT support, identity and device management, CRM configuration, reporting, workflow automation and internal development. The successful candidate will resolve day to day technical issues and deliver improvements to our core business systems. This is a broad, hands‑on role suited to a technical generalist who is comfortable moving between support, systems configuration and development work, and who can prioritise independently across a varied workload.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the helpdesk queue and resolve technical issues for approximately 100 staff
• Provide first and second level support across hardware, software, connectivity and access issues
• Escalate and track unresolved issues through to closure
• Deliver staff onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, account creation and access removal
• Maintain the device fleet and asset register, including procurement, replacement cycles and disposal
• Support the telephony and communications platforms used across the business
• Administer user accounts, groups and access across Google Workspace, JumpCloud and the wider SaaS environment
• Configure and maintain our CRM, including fields, layouts, workflows and module structure
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards in our CRM's Analytics
• Write SQL queries to support reporting requests from Sales, Operations and Marketing

About you

• Four to six years experience in a technical role with demonstrated ownership of systems or infrastructure
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to translate business questions into reporting outputs
• Demonstrated experience building workflow automations in a platform such as n8n, Make, Zapier or Zoho Flow
• Experience working with APIs, webhooks and JSON to connect systems
• Experience working alongside a development team, including translating business requirements into technical specifications and testing delivered work
• Administration experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
• Experience with an identity or device management platform such as JumpCloud, Okta, Intune or Jamf
• Demonstrated experience configuring a CRM platform, ideally Zoho, Salesforce or HubSpot
• Experience supporting end users in a helpdesk or service desk environment
