Job summary

Hedley Scott in Sydney is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to lead a high-performing team of five accountants, overseeing private client work across structures, trusts, and investments. You will mentor staff, coordinate workflow, build relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, and gradually take ownership of a sophisticated portfolio within the firm’s Sydney CBD hub.

Qualifications

• Around 8 years of Australian public practice experience preferred.
• Experience managing and developing junior accountants.
• Strong Business Services experience.
• Experience with sophisticated private clients or ultra-high-net-worth family groups highly regarded.
• Willingness to work five days per week in the office for the first six months.
• Open to feedback, learning and constructive discussion.

Responsibilities

• Managing, mentoring and developing five junior team members
• Coordinating workflow and supporting the delivery of client work
• Building relationships with sophisticated private clients and family groups
• Working across complex companies, trusts, super funds and investment structures
• Taking on increasing portfolio responsibility as you develop within the team
• Working closely with senior leadership on complex client matters
