StayKCC is seeking an experienced, proactive Business Development Manager to drive new business for our Blue Mountains venue, supporting Christian events, group accommodation, education camps and team building segments.
This role suits a confident sales hunter who enjoys picking up the phone, opening doors and building lasting relationships. With a strong focus on the education and Christian sectors, you’ll identify prospective clients, understand their needs and turn opportunities into confirmed bookings.
About the Role
Working for StayKCC, you’ll lead proactive business development for the venue, building a qualified pipeline for our unique venue in the Blue Mountains.
Outbound prospecting and cold calling will be central to your role, supported by a thoughtful, relationship-first approach. You’ll also qualify and nurture warm leads, progressing opportunities through discovery calls, site visits, proposals and conversion in collaboration with the venue team.
This is a part-time position, currently three days per week, with flexibility across the week and one day on site at StayKCC required each week.
What You’ll Be Doing
Identifying and approaching new prospects, particularly schools, churches, Christian organisations and group organisers.
Driving outbound prospecting through cold calls, targeted emails and consistent follow-up.
Building relationships with decision-makers and understanding their accommodation, camp and event requirements.
Qualifying and nurturing warm leads through to discovery calls and site visits.
Working with the venue team to develop proposals, follow up opportunities and secure bookings.
Developing repeat business and referrals through ongoing account relationships.
Maintaining accurate sales records and providing regular reporting on activity, pipeline health and conversion.
About You
Proven experience in proactive business development, with a track record of generating and converting new business.
Strong cold-calling experience and the confidence to initiate conversations with new prospects.
A relationship-first sales approach suited to the education and Christian sectors.
Experience selling venues, group accommodation, school camps, conferences or events.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
An organised, persistent approach to prospecting, follow-up and pipeline management.
The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the venue team.
Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Availability to attend StayKCC one day each week and travel to client meetings as required.
